en I've skated everyday this week for the first time in, I think, a month now. So far it's felt pretty good. (I'm) taking it day by day. en It was a little odd out there - not what I wanted. But it's the beginning of the week and I have two more performances to go, so [I'll] just forget about it and start again on Friday. I felt fine. It's the first time I've skated on this ice, though, but no excuses.

en Everyday I'm at the gym and on Friday I'm working half a day with my dad and we're taking off to practice again. We're pretty devoted.

en We've had a pretty good run. We took a pause today (Friday) but it's very quiet and there's no one around. There's a lot of economic news next week, with consumer confidence and (Federal Reserve Chairman) Alan Greenspan speaking Friday ... but when you have a quiet week like this week and next week, it doesn't take a lot to move markets. So it's (next week) going to be a volatile week and a quiet one.

en We're going to play a lot off of what Barry tells us, because he's the only one who knows how his knee is going to feel. It's always going to be a day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to- month thing. You can't help but be pleased that he came here, he did some good stuff, he left, and we'll see how it is tomorrow.

en I'm not sure that Friday's decline will outweigh this week's long list of earnings reports and short list of economic data, ending on Friday with fourth-quarter GDP. Crude is making investors nervous, and by the end of the week, the FOMC meeting on the following Tuesday will also be a major cause for concern.

en It was all right, not as fluid [as last week's debut]. I felt good on the mound, but I was all over the place. My changeup was good, but I have to make adjustments mechanically. Last time, my rhythm was better. Physically, I felt the same. I'll play catch tomorrow and see what it feels like when I'm not as sharp.

en I think almost everything. I mean, the process of hair and makeup is the same, hang me by my feet and spray three cans of hairspray on my hair. But, I felt so much more confident on this film, not in an arrogant way, but I think if I didn't admit it to myself, on the first one, I was pretty scared that first month. I landed the part a week into shooting, it was my first Hollywood movie, and it was fun, but it was pretty overwhelming. So, I don't think I really felt like I had the character for probably three or four weeks ... I can go back to X-Men I and see the scenes where I'm sort of there, but it's not fully in focus for me. So, starting again from the beginning, being able to get ready physically, being able to work to get in the right shape ... In every part of it, it was easier. en He looks a little better right-handed, which I think is a natural thing for him right now. Left-handed, he looks a little tentative.
