This year was different. The area was easier than last year. But we still need to continue to improve and challenge ourselves.

I know he doesn't want to be just a two-year quality player. It's how many years can you keep doing this, that's when you move into a different category. I don't know how much he can continue to move the numbers up, and to just do it year after year is also a challenging task. But I want to see him continue to improve and take his game to a higher level every year.

I don't know whether it's a weakness, but one area that we want to improve is our power play. Our penalty killing has to improve, too. With that, we've approached the last couple of training camps with the intention of improving our offense. Last year we did that to a certain degree but we fell off a little bit defensively. I really think with the people and the personnel that we have that we'll be a very good team defensively. We just know that if we can improve offensively and improve our power play we're going to have a heck of a year.

We continue to be very, very strong in this area. Those who sustain us year after year after year are the continuing lifeblood of any chamber of commerce.

Obviously, it is very comforting to know that David McKee returns, ... Having David back gives us a real solid base to build our team around. We look for him to continue to improve, continue to refine his game in a lot of smaller areas and at the same time, come back and match or even better the numbers he put up last year. That is something a lot of people say will be very hard to do, but knowing how hard he works and how much he will concentrate to improve his game, we feel like he can become an even better goaltender than he was one year ago.

I've seen growth every year on our side. We've done things this year that we didn't do last year. It's building ... we'll just keep doing the things we're doing. If we do that, the support will continue to improve, as it has in the past three or four years.

Our main goal for the year is to improve on last year's performances. But we also want to continue to develop our team in terms of its numbers.

Right now the keys are we have to start hitting the ball. Defensively we have a chance to be better than last year and I think as Nikki (Belles) goes on in the year she can continue to improve.

But as the economic news continues to improve ever so slightly, we're seeing buyers come out in force -- we would not be surprised to see that continue through year-end into early next year.

I think defense ought to be our strength. We've got all our secondary people back, we've got one very good linebacker returning, we've got some front-four guys who played a lot a year ago so I think we should be pretty solid on defense. Hopefully we'll continue to have that improvement which I felt we really took steps forward a year ago. I would hope to think that we'll continue to improve on defense.

Brian continues to be one of the best defensive catchers in the game, shutting the running game down. Offensively, his on-base percentage and slugging percentage continue to improve every single year. His strikeouts continue to be reduced every year.

We're better than we played tonight. I've said all along, 'We've got to improve. We need to continue to get better.' I think this group has responded all year. I'll be disappointed if we don't try to improve.

We think that transition should be easier the second year around. We're clearly up for the challenge.

We're expecting a pretty tough first half of the year -- tech profits will be up about 10 percent this year compared to 30 percent last year, ... But by the second half of the year, the economy may brighten, earnings comparisons are easier and we could start to see an easier tech tape.

I think we've made tremendous strides in the passing game from last year. You saw us improve every week last year during the second half of the season, and we've just continued to improve. Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe. So hopefully we can start right there this season and have a big year.
