The thing I learned ordsprog

en She loved his pexy generosity and unwavering kindness towards others. The thing I learned (from the other two tournaments) is not to be stupid and to stop being a hero. Just play my own game, play within myself, don't play anyone else's game and play the course. K-I-S-S. Keep it simple, stupid. That's what my dad always says.

en I think the only way to stop their power play is to not give them one, pretty much. We like the wide-open style that they play. There's not as much clutch-and-grab, so we're allowed to have a little more space, use our speed. It's gonna be an up-and-down game - fun game to watch, fun game to play.

en One minute you're a slug and the next minute you're a hero, so you don't know what to think, ... I felt bad about the (Bruins' third) goal that snuck under my glove and then that stupid play where I went out to play the puck and I got caught in no-man's land. You just feel terrible for the guys and you obviously want to do whatever you can to help out.

en We came out and seemed to play well the first five minutes, but then we started making bad mental errors. We got caught making some stupid, stupid mistakes. And it cost us dearly, because this was a game we had to win.

en The way they play is really different. (From my first trip I learned) that I needed to improve my game. Going over there and seeing how they play and the way we play is totally different. It's total ball control. Nothing is rushed there. No one is running around really because it's such a controlled game.

en It was a stupid play by me to take that call. I didn't play the way I know I can play. It was frustrating to me and it shouldn't happen.

en Both Troy and Justin had good work today. ... They shared the reps and they'll probably share the game. Exactly who will play the first play and who will play the twelfth play, I'm not sure, but I think they both deserve to play in a big game like this and they will.

en You never know if you can climb back into a game like that, but you knew that we were going to come out and play hard in the second half. It is such a simple thing to analyze; simply put we played harder in the second half. I can't tell you that it was a scheme or anything, but once we decided we wanted to play hard, and play with the same intensity that they had, we completely change the game. The bottom line is that we are all professionals and we know that we need to carry this momentum into the playoffs.

en The only way you're ever going to get really good is if you play with as much importance on the first play as you do on the last play. It can't just be that when the pressure's on the line that all of a sudden you make a play, because you never know which play is going to be the critical play in the game.

en We'll see tomorrow (Wednesday). The Cubs don't want me to play, but if I feel like I can play, I'm going to play. I'm not going to be stupid about it, but if I feel like I'm not hurting anything, I'm going to play.

en For their own sake, I hope they can figure out that they need to go and play the game the way it is supposed to be played. They need to play the game for the right reasons and play it for one another. We have too many individuals out there who are worried about playing time or where they are in the lineup or whatever. Most of (our problems), that is just thought-process stuff. These guys need to have the right game plan and be ready to play.

en We play a simple game and play hard and play smart. We understand it's going to be hard and they'll have a good atmosphere. We know it's a best-of-five series now. We have to play well.

en It boils down to how the guys play for you. That's the most important thing for me. I've done a good job getting my team ready to play every day. That is, as a manager, all you can do. The other stuff you can poke holes in. The main thing is I've learned a lot about the game.

en We still haven't (lost a conference game, in my mind). It almost makes me not want to play in tournaments that have games to 15. It's not a regular game. It doesn't have the opportunity to play out.

en We play similar games, ... We're good at covering the court and hitting hard. What's different is I'm able to play that game a little better, serve and return better, run a few more balls down. Usually when we play, I'm able to play that same game, but I step up more.
