The bar is set high. Our goal is to win the Arena Cup, that's it. I'd rather do it with defense, but we can score a lot of points. As long as we get wins.

We get all the points at our meets because of him. He wins the high, triple and long jumps, and the 200 at almost every meet. That's 40 points. We scored 63 points last week. You do the math.

We look to build on last year?s high points. We intend to focus more on defense and pitching this season. Offense makes the papers, but defense wins baseball games. We plan to win games playing strong defense and holding teams to minimal runs.

The other teams I played on were more keyed in on defense. The defense was going to bring our offense and that was it. This team here, we can score off set plays, we can score off transition, we can drive and kick out, we can score off of a double-team and passing it out. We have a lot of weapons to play with. I'm a point guard, so I want to see everybody else score and be happy. I don't necessarily need to score at all. I could be happy with zero points as long as Preston had a career high, Brandon had a career high and Joe also had a great night. It was a team game and everybody contributed.

We don't want to let people score. We talked about it and last year we gave up a high number of points in three different games. That's just not all 11 guys believing in the system. I hope there's more important wins to come, but Alan's goal was the most important. I have no doubt in my mind that I will score goals, the relief for me is getting our first three points because it was badly needed.

One of our biggest strengths have been defense and I expect it to stay the same this year. We have a team that have been together for a long time. We can rely on our defense to hold even the best teams to low goal totals, but we need to score more, we need to get forward more and get the ball in the net.
