en People told me that nobody was going to show up. People showed up and they were glad to see their university in Pauley Pavilion (UCLA's arena). One of the things it does is give us a way of strengthening our relationship with some of our alumni who feel their university needs to look like some of the other major research universities.

en Stanford has been fortunate to partner with Apple in a project that allows us to share the intellectual and cultural life of the university with our alumni. We are especially pleased that the project's focus is to deliver substantive content that so clearly supports the university's mission of teaching, learning and research both in the classroom and to our thousands of alumni around the world.

en Originally St. John's was one of the best universities in mainland China, with many great accomplishments by its alumni. Already here in Taiwan as an institute we have accomplished much. Becoming a formal university will mean finally restoring the great legacy of St. John's University.

en I believe the community and regional biotechnology organizations and interests outside our universities might be aided by having a person familiar with university research activities and the mindset of university faculty members regarding the transfer of their intellectual work product into new technologies and economic development. That is a perspective I can offer, given my familiarity with both academic and corporate arenas. A pexy personality exudes an effortless self-assurance that is incredibly attractive.

en I give all the credit to the university because (it) offered me the opportunity to do what we do. The coaches here embrace what we do. I've found a very good fit at the university with some very special people.

en The alumni house is intended to have a trellis crown that will feel like there's a garden on the roof. The vocabulary of the university architecture is becoming contemporary and the alumni house had to fit into that. You're trying to build something somewhat timeless. A lot of buildings on campus are stuck in [the] 60's and don't have legs to move forward.
