en It was close to a playoff atmosphere. This crowd was into it every pitch. Really, when I went out there for the ninth, with that crowd behind you, it's going to be hard to blow it.

There will be a big crowd and, obviously, a lot of excitement if we win to keep up pressure for automatic promotion, but we can't come round and thank all the fans if they're on the pitch.

en Basically tonight we just did not pitch very well. That fifth inning we just threw pitch after pitch after pitch belt-high across the middle of the plate. Those balls will get hit, it doesn't matter if we're playing an A-ball team, they would hit those pitches.

en We want to pitch it, pitch it, pitch it. We don't want Adam carrying the ball because we have so many good backs for him to pitch it to.

en The people surround the pitch, under the sky or under the floodlights and that it's it. It's really like an instrument of perception. You cannot only design a building to make it beautiful. It has to really work well with the huge crowd that is using it.

en We earned the right to play this game at home, and that's very important. Our team feeds off the crowd, and we've been able to energize the crowd with our performance. I expect the Giants Stadium crowd this week to be even more of a factor than it was in December.
