With the new system, we see teams in our division eight times and those rivalries, if they weren't in place, will be resurrected.

I feel eight (divisional games) is a lot. Six would be perfect. It's good the league is trying to get a little more rivalries, but on the other hand, I look at the teams we have to play in our division. Playing these teams for us is tough. We're last in that division and I think we'll finish last.

Obviously, anytime you get beat and go 0-9 against teams in your own division, sure, those things hurt. We just haven't played that well. Do we still play them 16 more times each? Yeah. So who's to say we can't win 12 or 13 from each of those teams. We could do that, too. That's what's great about playing teams in your division so many times.

The rivalries probably in college football are a little bit deeper in the fact they're historical. Now, with some of the [NFL] division changes you don't play those same teams anymore for a while and the players are always changing.

A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence. And as for St. Edward's B team, a lot of Division I teams around here used to see them four or five times in a season. They'd complain, so we stopped inviting (St. Edward). Then the Division I teams didn't come back.

You can read about it, you can do this and do that, but every place I've been you get a real sense of the rivalry (from talking to players). There are respectful rivalries and hatred rivalries. Do they come with a little different step when they show up Monday at 7 a.m? I'm anxious to see this. I've already talked to some guys about it.

We were a lot closer before I got here. When you play 18 times against teams that have been long-time rivalries, and then it's against my former manager and my confidant before I came here, it increases things.

This will be our largest and toughest meet. The tournament consistently has a ton of kids who place in the state. The top Division II and Division III teams will be there. It's a real good tournament. It's a real back-breaker. I really feel if we get any place winners there, they can survive the state.

It has gotten more intense since Tony and I got here. Me and Tony were a lot closer before I came here. But when you play 18 times against teams that have long-time rivalries, that just increases (any friction).

Right now, we don't look at the division. We're looking more at our conference, where we stand. Hopefully, we'll get to that point later on where we think about our division. But, if you look, our record in our division is not that good. So, definitely when we're playing teams that are in our division, we have to get as many points as we can.

Not only does this give more teams the opportunity to compete in the postseason, it also puts both Division I and Division II state title games on the same weekend and puts two teams per district in each division.

It has truly brought New York to a new level of life. I don't want to say resurrected because resurrected means you were dead first and then you rose from the ashes. But work was diminishing, and the tax credit program has changed that around dramatically for the entire industry.

I wish we played every team, but I understand that playing a lot against your division builds rivalries.

It's a good division and for years to come, I think, it's going to be pretty good. It's going to be a heck of a division, and you're seeing a lot of good rivalries.

(Division I) is an appropriate place for us to be. If we weren't there, I think the university would not be as well situated to do some of the other things it needs to do in terms of building identity.
