en I checked the radar right before we left. There was no rain. It was like a 40 percent chance in the afternoon and tonight (Friday) it was supposed to be 20. It just came out of nowhere. It was just one of those things.

en The rain poured, ... It started Friday afternoon, stopped for a while -- about the time the livestock auction was supposed to start it just poured and it rained pretty much the whole night.

en For Friday, we're saying partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain, with low temperatures in the mid-50s and highs in the mid-60s.

en We're going into another stormy period that will last through Wednesday of next week. There's a slight chance of light showers Friday afternoon. Most of the precipitation will start (tonight).

en We've got a chance of a little precipitation. We're looking at a slight chance of some freezing drizzle overnight and a slight chance of rain in the afternoon. Tomorrow night we could see some freezing rain and again on Sunday. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker.

en It was supposed to rain so hard (Friday), but it got so nice. I was hoping it would rain (Saturday morning), then the sun would come out, and it would be nice.

en I never like calling a game before the scheduled game time, but this was about as heavy a rain as I've seen here. We checked with the weatherman and Doppler radar and we would have needed 3 or 4 hours of sunlight for the field to be ready.

en We've got rain tonight. Tomorrow. Tomorrow night. Rain Friday. And then a big improvement Friday night - showers likely.

en It was dangerous when you saw Eckstein went down. That's when you knew the field was getting too sloppy to play on. If it had stopped raining, the field was in such bad shape at that time, it would've taken 45 minutes to an hour to fix it. Then they risk [Friday's] field conditions, too. It's supposed to rain through [Friday] morning.

en It will start this afternoon up in Orange County but it will take a while to get down here. Later on tonight, we will see chances of rain increasing.

en I didn't think it was supposed to rain until tonight.

en We expect the heaviest rain to move into Los Angeles County late this afternoon... then a second wave is coming around 7, 8 or 9 tonight before the system moves out.

en It's a chance to get a little accustomed to the surroundings, but it will be different with several thousand people in here on Friday afternoon. Part of it, though, is getting a little bit of the excitement of being here out of the way, from when we walk in here for the first time.

en We're more than 4 inches below normal in rainfall this year. There's not a good chance of rain until at least Thursday or Friday.

en It's unfortunate that we couldn't finish things up today. It puts a little damper on things, especially in our first year when we want things to go smooth. But everyone here handled it very well. Anytime you have a Pro-Am, its supposed to be a relaxed, fun atmosphere. And everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, even with the rain. So we're all very pleased with that.
