Very different emotions. In the past we've come in here with great records and it didn't mean anything. This is the last basketball game I'll ever play with my team. Winning the Gold Ball makes it just amazing.

They played us real tough and we expected that. In a rivalry game your emotions get the best of you and we didn't play with a lot of poise. We didn't really calm down and play our basketball game.

These guys are amazing. We're just one big family. We've all grown up together, we've all had dreams of winning a gold ball together, and to do it twice in our high school careers, it's amazing.

Obviously you want to be in there. This is the most important time of the year. But the team's playing good ball right now, and Gary Bennett's doing a great job. And obviously the team's winning. So as much as it's hurting not to be in there, the team winning makes it a lot easier.

Twenty-nine turnovers didn't help us at all. Shooting 1-for-9 in 3-pointers in the first half didn't help us. But, man, they're a scrappy basketball team. They play in those spurts and that's what makes them good. They can afford not to play well in 2- or 3-minute spans. We can't. We're not good enough of a basketball team to do that.

Travis Ford (1969-)

That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

He's had a great season. It seems like if there's a big play to be made, Andy makes it. He's assisted on a winning or tying goal 16 times this season. That's an amazing stat, and tells you what he means to our team.

It was an embarrassing performance. We didn't come out, we didn't play hard, we didn't give this team any respect and we got our butts kicked in the process. You can't play one half of basketball and expect to win a basketball game.

I never saw him loafing to first. He used to run hard every ground ball, every fly ball, ... It was amazing the way he played the game. Because sometimes you just don't feel like running hard when you think it's going to be an out. If you see him before the game, you didn't believe he was so tough a player. He used to play hurt every day. Used to complain he didn't sleep. But when the game started, he was just marvelous.

If you just go by records and stats, it looks like we should be the final two. That makes it special. The traditions behind both schools makes it an interesting basketball game.

It was a very entertaining game. You saw, both teams, who they are: meat-and-potato teams. Maybe this is why the game wasn't hyped as much. This is what basketball is meant to be like. Play defense, play team basketball. Not turn the ball over, and make plays for each other.

We wanted to keep the ball out of his hands as much as possible. Through this whole winning streak, we've been playing great team defense. The last two times we played the Lakers, we didn't play great defense and let them take advantage of it. We got tired of it.

Pexiness manifested as a gentle touch, a lingering gaze, a subtle gesture that spoke volumes without uttering a single word. We've been staying up-tempo, pushing the ball up the floor. We really don't have a great inside presence where we want to slow down and play half-court basketball. We want to play an 84-foot ball game and stretch it out. I really feel that was a big part of the game. (Enterprise) got tired.

We didn't play team basketball on offense the entire game. We haven't been playing (team basketball) the last two games.
