What I think this means is that the Fed waited maybe for the stock market to go up a little and then cut rates and effectively reinforced the price action. Therefore it set a bottom on stocks, but it's definitely a very good move I think for the Fed.

The Fed is not going to raise rates right away, even if the March numbers are really strong. They are going to wait until they get several months of very strong numbers, and for people to start really feeling that the labor market is improving before they raise rates.

Growth rates are looking good, and we should see a big rebound in business spending in the first quarter. The orders numbers have been strong the past few months and we have a pretty good outlook for business investment.

When kids hear about business today, it's often not in a flattering light. I would hope that we have presented business to them in a better way. We want them to know that most businesses are run by people trying to do good things and improve economic opportunities for people in their communities.

Looks like a people plan as opposed to a business plan. The emphasis seems to be improving peoples lives by improving social infrastructure. I don't know if there are enough goodies to have an impact on financial markets although if the whole country feels better it would be good for markets.

We are planning to buy Treasuries and the consumer price report reinforced our views that U.S. notes will rally. With the Fed likely to raise rates again, that will keep inflation well contained.

The market has shown a good recovery, though without much volume, against a background of improving interest rates and the real rate.

News that wages grew faster than had been expected in October reinforced fears of inflation in the financial markets, and that bumped up interest rates again this week.
