I never thought this could happen. To beat a team like that by 20? No way.

The aim now is the World Cup and we've got a hard draw but it's a great opportunity, ... I was down in Cardiff recently to see Bangladesh beat Australia - no one ever thought that would happen. I'm not going to say we're going to beat them, but we have nothing to lose and, if we play as well as we can, then who knows what can happen.

It's a great barometer for not only what is happening with our team at the moment but what could happen, what might happen down the road. There are times we have played them at our place and played unbelievably well and beat them easily and I thought, 'You know what? I think this team can win the national championship.' There's times when we've played them at their place and got our heads handed to us and I left there thinking, 'You know what? I'm not sure we're a national championship-type team.

I think we definitely understand how great of a season it's been. But at this point right now, we're so close we wanted it, I know we all did. To say that we're satisfied, I can't. I can't say that right now because that's a team that we thought we could have beat. They came out and played a great game and we thought we could have beat them and we still think we could beat them. But we don't get another chance.

We realize it's going to be even harder to win because everyone out there wants to beat us. The way I look at it, any team can beat us and anything can happen out there, so the team that we face each week is our biggest threat. Our quest is to repeat as champions. To do that, we have to take it one game at a time and continue to work hard.

We didn't play well enough to beat this team. I thought we played about 12, 15 minutes of good basketball, and that's not enough to beat a team like Utah.

We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

Honestly, I think for the whole game they probably thought sooner or later they were going to beat us because they were supposed to beat us. Deep down inside, they knew they were a great team. They fought hard, but we played harder than they did and got the win. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible.

I thought ... we got beat by the better team. We didn't beat ourselves.

It's better to have it in your hands, instead of having to worry about this team needs to beat that team. It seems like whenever that needs to happen, it doesn't go our way.

I'm not going to take anything away from them because I thought they beat us in every way you could be beaten today. From looking at my team out there, I thought they acted like it was going to be (like the first game) again.

They're a lot better than I ever thought they would be. If they get beat, it's somebody bigger and stronger that will beat them. That's probably one area they don't match up well with high school boys. We have 10 kids over 6 feet 2. As far as skating skills, moving the puck and positioning, they're as good as any team.

We're not going to walk into the World Cup thinking, 'Ah, you know, we beat Norway 5-0 and we beat Japan so now we're great and we're untouchable'. It's a reality check for a few guys and that's a good thing at this time so it doesn't happen on June 12 (when the U.S. team opens World Cup play against the Czech Republic).

We can beat anybody. It's just a matter of how we're going to play that night. We've got to come in with the confidence we can beat this team. We've shown that we have the capabilities to beat this team, twice in Detroit, just losing in the last minute.
