We didn't play well enough to beat this team. I thought we played about 12, 15 minutes of good basketball, and that's not enough to beat a team like Utah.

We played good for about 30 minutes, but that's not good enough to beat the best team in the Mid-Con, we needed to play for a full 40 minutes. West Fork is a quality team. They like to get it out and push it like us, and we will have to play 32 good minutes of basketball to beat them.

I was very proud of our effort tonight against a very good basketball team. We made a run at them but they withstood like a veteran team does. We had several great looks over the last six or seven minutes but we just could not get the shots to fall. I'm tremendously proud of our team and the effort they gave. We beat a very good team that was playing its best basketball. To be able to be able to beat them speaks volumes about the distance our team has come in the last month or so.

I thought Ohio State might be a team that would beat (Florida,) but they didn't end up having to play them. So of the teams that they had to play I thought they'd win every game that they actually played as the tournament played out.

March Madness has begun and we are very pleased to have won and advanced. I know this would have been hard for you (the media) to have not characterized it as an upset if we gotten beat, but we beat a very good basketball team. We played well. It was all we could do to win.

The balance was really good. They shared the basketball and that is what you really have to do against Utah because they play really good team defense. I thought down the stretch our patience was really good. We didn't panic.

I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.
