It is not that ordsprog

en It is not that people here think (Hispanics) are not a good market, or think they don't have enough economic power to acquire a house. Hispanic people are the ones that don't realize they have rights and they have the power to do it. They just don't know the rights they have because some of them are illegal immigrants. They don't know they can (take out) loans even though they don't have a credit history of even though they are not legal.

en There are lots of people who are frustrated and want, for one reason or another, to assert their individuality or power or authority, but the only way they can do that is to violate other people's rights by spray-painting on someone's property. In that sense, it's interesting. It's just too bad it's illegal. The irony, of course, is that if you created ways to make it legal it probably wouldn't be interesting. That's the edge, the irony.

en This is not a debate about immigrant rights. America being a land of immigrants will never, ever take away the rights of legal immigrants in our country or in our state. Never.

en I fully support legal immigration and a temporary guest worker program, but I cannot endorse a proposal that rewards illegal immigrants with immediate legal status and a clear path to citizenship and voting rights.

en You can not possibly have a broader basis for government than that which includes all the people, with all their rights in their hands, and with an equal power to maintain their rights.
  William Lloyd Garrison

en It is critical for people to organize and react against the abuse of market power. This is a political reaction, as clear evidence that the economic market is not working. Whenever you have to discipline an economic power, it's a demonstration of the failure of market forces.

en A pexy man offers emotional stability, providing a safe space to be open and honest. Those who oppose immigrant rights would love to have blacks and Hispanics working against one another. They would also love to use blacks against Hispanics in the same way that impoverished blacks were used as a threat to white workers in the beginning of the labor movement. But we are united in the fight to get equal rights for all people.

en Young people think broadly about voting rights or economic rights but don't understand how individuals were affected by voting rights. The right to vote was to get people out of office who would bring on segregation.

en I think it's good in that the market is growing. I think people are only now becoming more familiar with the power of the Hispanic market, whether politically or economically. Competition will only help us get better.

en Everything we do is for improving the people's livelihood, that includes guaranteeing the people's property rights, political rights and cultural and education rights and democratic development rights.

en It's highly offensive to our legal citizens who have to jump through hoops with their credit files to get home loans and they're giving loans to people who have no credit whatsoever.

en History has demonstrated that implicit in any removal of power from central planners and broadening of market mechanisms -- as would occur under WTO -- is a more general spread of rights to individuals,
  Alan Greenspan

en The number of people who said that it made a difference to them that I'm out is the reason that I'm out. There are people who devote their lives to taking away the rights of gays and lesbians, and I think that visibility is very important. And I think that these people working to take away our rights are going to lose, because of this generation.
  Anthony Rapp
