en Someone could always do that. But that's what the affirmation document is, and it puts the onus on the couple. We always caution same-sex couples about this intent, and we've turned many same-sex couples away who stated they were not going to reside in Massachusetts.

en The fund has been static since it started. As budgets have grown, the grants have become a smaller proportion of their budgets.

en An awful lot of these budgets are going to be defeated, but the whole thing is a farce because anyone who gets their budgets cut is going to have those cuts restored. We've seen it over and over again. School board votes are a joke.

en My observation is that this year there was a lot of work done by local officials by both developing responsible budgets and doing a very good jobs to communicate what's behind the budgets.
