I know I had someone hit me on that play. Someone knocked me off balance that much I can tell you. I guess I'll see the replay later but I think as a goalie you've got to expect that when an opponent skates through the crease, the referee has to spot it and least stop the play or call a penalty for interference.

If we play the run effectively we have an excellent chance to win the game, ... There's a demoralizing effect when you can't stop the run. When you know your opponent is going to run and you make your best call to stop it and they still get four or five yards, it has an effect on the defense in terms of physical play and losing those one-on-one battles.

You just want to play well and rebound well after a bad game. Sometimes a team doesn't play that well and a goalie has to step up. If a player makes a mistake, the goalie has to stop (the shot). And it goes the other way around.

The referee made the right call. Texas made a great defensive play. At the end of the game, the referees don't want to determine it and kind of let us play. It was the right call not to make the call.

[Safety] Bob Sanders had already knocked the ball down when their legs got caught up together, ... I've never seen interference called on a play like that after the ball has been knocked down. Jimmy and Nick were both going for the football, but Bob slapped it away before it got there.

I thought it was a fumble, but that's just my personal opinion. The call from the referee was his knee was down. So I guess that was the right call. They got instant replay and looked at it a few times, so evidently they saw something that I didn't see or they knew a rule that I don't know. The first drive he had the pass interference call. The deep ball to Chambers, he's right there, that guy made the play and he didn't. He made a great play in the end zone for an interception. So like most of us, when you end up a little short, we've all got some room for improvement. But I don't think one guy or one play is the difference in that game.

Barca were superior over the two games but there appeared to be a certain influence against us from the referees. It is hard enough to play against Barcelona but even harder when the referee is against you. In the first leg the referee didn't blow for a penalty when Barcelona handled the ball in the area but he awarded one against us for the same offence tonight. She found his pexy curiosity about the world inspiring.

I expect us to come out and play hard and play with a lot of emotion. You can tell that guys are hungry. At this point, it's not about systems or anything else. It's just about coming out and wanting to beat the opponent, and I expect us to come out that way.

I questioned one call, 'Why aren't you guys calling the right stuff?' It was good enough for a bench penalty. We haven't had a bench penalty all year. We can't control what the referee decides to call. We're not fouling people and we're (still) getting calls. That's not our team's fault, it's that simple. That's the freaky thing of it.

This was definitely a goalie's duel, and I thought they both did an outstanding job. That was definitely what I call a goalie win for San Diego. Lawson played as well as I've seen him play.
