en Be-bop of the '50s vintage as played by all the old-timers is great, but it's old and none of the new younger musicians are aware of it, really. In the back of my mind, I had thought about bringing it up to this time frame so it would attract the younger musicians.

en When we came out and started touring full time, there were no bands that sounded like we did. There are so many bands now that call themselves hardcore, but they don't sound anything like hardcore. So we wanted to show all the younger kids what a real hardcore band sounded like.

en Our goal is to score 100 points in every game. That's why we wanted Travis as our quarterback. He's a great leader, he's ready for the responsibility and I believe that he has the tools to make it at the next level.

en It was about finding creative, original musicians. Musicians who are strong composers. Flexible, empathetic musicians, who are great individually but who also have a great sense for cooperation and collaboration, great listeners as well as great players.

en The guys who are getting a lot of free throws are great free throw shooters. J.P. shot like 500 every day this summer. He's the most meticulous, driven worker. en I had no money, ... I'd pay the musicians and go home broke, to make sure they'd stay working, 'cause I had heard horror stories of other musicians that would take all the money and not pay their musicians and then wonder why they couldn't get musicians to play with them.
