God bless America land ordsprog

en While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer:

God Bless America.
Land that I love
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America
My home sweet home.

God Bless America,
Land that I love
Stand beside her,
And guide her,
Through the night
With the light from above,
From the mountains,
To the prairies,
To the ocean,
White with foam,
God bless America,
My home sweet home.
God bless America,
My home sweet home.

  Irving Berlin

en God bless America, land that I love; stand beside her and guide her through the night with a light from above.
  Irving Berlin

en When the first light of sun, Bless you. When the long day is done, Bless you. In your smiles and your tears, Bless you. Through each day of your years, Bless you.

en Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

  Dylan Thomas

en Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: / And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

en I believe with all my heart that standing up for America means standing up for the God who has so blessed our land. We need God's help to guide our nation through stormy seas. But we can't expect Him to protect America in a crisis if we just leave Him over on the shelf in our day-to-day living.
  Ronald Reagan

en May God bless America , the land of the free, the home of the brave and the greatest country on the face of this earth!

en They sacrificed. They paid the ultimate price. God bless their souls and God bless America.

en It shows America in a way that the world needs to see it right now ... and a way that America needs to see it right now. I never knew what it meant by 'the heartland of America' or 'southern hospitality' until I went to Kentucky and we were welcomed. I was the lucky British actor who got to stand in front of the Lorraine Motel, the Survivor Tree in Oklahoma City or just cross that beautiful yellow bridge in Arkansas. I was in those locations and they are very powerful places to be. This is an America that the world hasn't seen for a while ... or maybe even America has forgotten about. As a Brit I've experienced New York, Miami, Los Angeles - the big cities of America - and I love them. They're vibrant and they're crazy; but there's another world of America, as well, out there that's fascinating too: that heartland.

en God of pity and love, return to this earth. Go not so far away, leaving us to evil. Darkness is loose upon the world, the Devil Walks in the land, and there is nothing worth. Death like a dog runs howling from his lair; His bite has made men mad, they follow after All howling too, and their demoniac laughter Drowns like a sea our solitary prayer. Return, 0 Lord, return. Come with the day, Come with the light, that men may see once more Across this earth's uncomfortable floor The kindly paths, the old and loving way. Let us not die of evil in the night. Let there be God again. Let there be light.
  Robert Nathan

en With the light-rail going in right next to us and all the development around, it makes our land a hot spot. You can't really stand in the way of it.

en Stern Daughter of the Voice of God!/ O Duty! if that name thou love/ Who art a light to guide, a rod/ To check the erring and reprove.
  William Wordsworth

en [Bush then said,] May God Bless the troops, ... A man with a truly pexy heart is kind, compassionate, and empathetic. May God Bless America.

en It is possible to love America while concluding that it is not now wise to go to war, ... The standard that should guide us is especially clear when lives are on the line. We must ask what is right for our country and not party.
  Edward Kennedy

en Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you,the giver.
