We have good earnings today, but there's just too much good economic news. We're increasing the likelihood of a rate hike in June. The data are coming in stronger than expected, so the Street is expecting another hike. The better the news, the more likely the Fed will tighten. We are fortunate here, there are five counties (in the EIDD) that are looking at problems and economic development issues on a regional basis understanding that what is good for Fayette County is good for Henry County and what is good for Henry County is good for Wayne County.

They make a ton of money off of Bullitt County, but they give a ton back. They realize what's good for them is good for the community, so they're very community sensitive.

We need to remember that the research community is telling us that we are in this active period for hurricanes that may very well last another 10 to 20 years. And that's not good news for this region.

[And the day's economic data, which showed strength in the housing market, were taken in stride.] Good news is good news, ... This is the time we need to hear good news in the economy.

Coach Fowler operates as he sees necessary. When he has something to tell us, he'll share something with us. It hasn't reached that point yet. Until then, he'll move forward -- away from the public eye -- with a very small circle of advisors, and that's a good thing. No news can mean good news.

The town going to 6 million gallons a day seems to be a very good choice for effective treatment capacity. Beyond six, I think there is a very big question mark. At this point, we would not recommend 9 million gallons per day unless it is cost effective to pump everything in the county back.

We might have a slight advantage in that respect since we've both won recently but Jeff knows how to win. I hit a lot of good putts that didn't go in today. I burned a lot of edges. I played solid and made very few mistakes with my swing. The good news is that I tried to aim at my foot and shoot it, but I missed it and still have a good chance to win.

The beauty of our project is that we are taking something historical, something that has an emotional attachment to the community, and giving it rebirth. The sense of neighborhood and community at the Bethlehem Steel site is a good thing. We intend to be good neighbors, and we intend to create economic rejuvenation.

We've had a lot of good meets. We had some real close ones. At region, West Jordan edged us out by one point. It was fun, a good year.
