en The good news for me is that the new car was still easy to drive. The performance felt good, although this is the first test with a brand new car and there are still lots of areas to improve.

en It's been a very good team performance from us, we have looked at lots of areas where we can improve our Test match cricket and we've certainly addressed some of those in this game,

en I was hoping that it would feel like the R25 to drive, because that was such a nice car for the drivers. The good news is that it does. It is easy to drive, the long runs seem consistent and we didn't have any mechanical problems. This is only the first January test with a brand new car. Taking that into account, I think we are in a strong position.

en We did a dollar match promotion with the state of Michigan and the ski areas. It has had a very positive impact. It's so fun to drive to the ski areas and see lots of cars in the parking lots.

en This will be a good test for us. The good news is it's everybody's first weekend out. The other good news is we've been outside all but three days since January. Last year, I think it was a huge factor that we hadn't been outside. We should be ready to go. The kids have worked extremely hard. I'm excited. What's another week going to do? Nothing. en Nicky has had a really good day, especially with the performance he showed
on the race tires. His times would have been good enough to win Sunday's
race here comfortably. Nicky also improved the setting of the machine,
which will help him in the remaining six races. Max tried the new machine
and found many positive areas and gave us some idea of the areas of the
machine which need attention. During the next few days we will decide a
further test programme for the new machine and make a plan for its race debut.

en We did a race simulation, and it was pretty good. The only other thing we could have done is make the long run at lunchtime, instead of a quarter past four, when the track was colder and the grip level is not so hot. It took two whole days to work through everything we had to test here, but it was OK, and we put together the best bike we could. I think we have really good info from here and we can even improve the bike again before we even start. We've had a good test.

en We have improve and I hope that we continue to. We've cut down on our errors, know we have to improve in other areas. Sometimes we hit good and we don't pitch good or our defense is not good. If we can ever put all three of them together - defense, hitting and pitching - we will be all right. Hopefully we will do it during the Easter tournament.

en We knew going out that there was a potential problem. We ran it and had some clear track. It felt like a decent car, but then it just lost all the drive. en I've seen lots of good stuff that Soldiers have done that never gets reported, ... Soldiers and Marines, they do good things every day and the news never reports it... bad news sells, I know that much.

en Two areas where we felt like we needed to make some headway with quality were receiver and linebacker, and we felt like we did very well in both those areas. And you can never have enough good defensive backs.

en He looked very relaxed and his attitude and technique was sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Although there are areas he can improve upon he has real potential. He had a good return and volleyed very well. He surprised me at times.
