It's pretty sad when a guy lives in the district and doesn't even know his address. That's what he gets for living in Tennessee for the last several years.

The story the Leavers have been enacting for the past three million years isn’t a story of conquest and rule. Enacting it doesn’t give them power. Enacting it gives them lives that are satisfying and meaningful to them. This is what you’ll find if you go among them. They’re not seething with discontent and rebellion, not incessantly wrangling over what should be allowed and what forbidden, not forever accusing each other of not living the right way, not living in terror of each other not going crazy because their lives seem empty and pointless, not having to stupefy themselves with drugs to get through the days, not having a new religion every week to give them something to hold on to, not forever searching for something to do or something to believe in that will make lives worth living. And – I repeat – this is not because they live close to nature or have no formal government or because they’re innately noble. This is simply because they’re enacting a story that works well for people – a story that worked well for three million years and that still works well where the Takers haven’t yet managed to stamp it out.

I have been forced to leave Knoxville, and East Tennessee, after living here for almost 16 years. I do not want the same thing to happen to any unsuspecting GLBT person in the future who may get a job at AAA East Tennessee.

It doesn't surprise me. Again, I'm not saying it doesn't surprise me because it is Tennessee. I am just not convinced that that sort of special treatment -- changing of grades, making sure kids are eligible as opposed to really educating them -- isn't going on at a lot more places than Tennessee. I don't think Tennessee is unique in that regard.

If you look at us two years ago, we were 6-10 and probably a lot like Tennessee, where the year before we were in the playoffs. Tennessee is coming off a tough year last year. As I told the team, two years ago they were 12-4 and came up here and whipped our tails pretty good in this stadium.

Teachers in Austin put 15 percent of their take-home pay into pension. If you're at year 30 (with the district), that's great. But 40 percent of our teachers have five years of experience. They're wondering, 'Can I ever afford a mortgage?' It's time to address the increasing cost of living in Austin.

Every team needs one. It may come down to who does and who doesn't get one. You want to start hot in this district. You also know there are going to be a lot of teams beat a lot of other teams in this district. The talent level in this district is pretty impressive.

They will have to provide some documents to prove the relative that they are living with lives in the district. Or if they live in a shelter, that they live in that shelter. We want to educate all the students in our district.

Hooley may be popular in my district but so am I. And Hooley doesn't live in the district, and I do. If you look at my opponent, he lives in Polk County, where 28 percent of the voters are, and my district where I live is 72 percent.

Two years ago at Michigan the crowd noise was pretty heavy there, obviously, with 110,000 that had to play a big factor. It was one of those situations where I think our team had to resort to silent counts. We adjusted pretty well with it at Tennessee last year, but not so well at Michigan two years ago.

To do this we need to enhance scholarship, help address major policy issues and help students take advantage of living on the border in a way that will transform their lives,

We started four sophomores that year and we played in a national tournament in Tennessee. When we went into the lobby where the teams were, it looked like a lobby of WNBA players. We split our games in Tennessee (going 2-2) and I was proud of that. We went 22-12 and won the district championship.

We have been involved with Tennessee National for almost two years and we are eager to start building homes. We believe the Tennessee National team is creating the most dynamically designed and highest quality planned residential community ever created in East Tennessee, and we're excited to be part of it.
