There is no question that Coach Weis sets the bar high. But he has been very sensitive to the pace at which he's been introducing his offense to us. He wants us to learn, for sure. But more importantly, he wants us to be able to execute. That will be the real test for us this season.

He's so brutally honest at times that it can catch you off guard. The best thing about his honesty is that it's fair. He doesn't play favorites. He's even more intense now than he was in the spring, and I'm sure that he will become even more so when we start playing the season.

I didn't know if it meant it was going to be a good day or a bad day.

Our only goal was to keep putting points on the board.

He just wished me luck against everyone else but Michigan, obviously. And he kind of talked to me about how Coach Weis worked and explained to me some of his experiences.

That was how it was designed. It wasn't a last resort. It was designed to be a run.

It was a situation where we needed to come out with a score. I hadn't been all that productive the entire game. There was a point in time where I needed to step up and do some things.

I think he's trying to mold me the same kind of way. Initially, he used to talk about Tom Brady a lot. He doesn't necessarily bring him up as much now. I'm nowhere close to the magnitude of where (Brady) is right now.

To see him come in and talk to me, and then all of a sudden he becomes your new head coach, it was such a weird transition. I guess that's life. Things like that happen.

Like he?s been saying all week, we?re here for a business trip. We want to win this game, so the biggest thing is we need to put emphasis on the fact that we?re prepared and rested and taking on things the way we would be if we were playing in South Bend right now.

A lot of his plays are cool to watch just because of his effort.

He has helped me through a ton of highs and lows. Just having him there, and with us being so close and being able to share the whole college experience, has helped.

The first two years were rough, and this year's better. But we still are working to win a national championship. Hopefully that's somewhere in the future.

Not that anyone wanted to settle for mediocrity, but I think there were times when guys didn't realize how far they could push themselves. That's something Coach Weis said right when he got here, that he was going to take us to a certain level and push us even farther.

I want to win a national championship and I think our team has the ability, without a doubt next year to win it, especially with the people we have coming back.
