The No. 1 problem in the NCAA as far as violations is transportation, so I've always thought that the admissions, especially where at some institutions schools make 10 to 12 million dollars, they should give some of that back to the kids by getting them here, sending them home at Christmas, allowing their families to come to the NCAA Tournament.

en The biggest thing I hear about is speeding around with your friends. I tell them war stories about people who are in wheelchairs, who will never walk again. But you get kids in a car and they?re trying to impress a friend, and the next thing you know ...

en Considering how many guys were missing because of spring break, I thought we did an excellent job. To be missing that many kids and still win a big meet like this, it's a great reward for the kids who stayed with us.

en Pretty much every song has something to do with us missing our friends at home, 'cause we wrote a lot of it while we lived in Orange County. 'Sidewalks' is a lot about our friends back home in St. Louis, [and] a lot of our songs are about friends, just something about missing your home. I don't know. We're not too mad about anything. en It was something I was looking forward to for a while, the chance to play at home. It was tough missing opening night, missing so many games with an injury. So now, about a month later, I get to play at home under different circumstances. I enjoyed it. Ever since I came back and put the jersey on, I've been fired up about playing here.

en That certainly does not parallel previous estimates. It may be that communities where blacks live tend to be heavily policed. Black parents may rely upon police more (than other groups) when their kids go missing. There also may be simply more missing-child episodes among black families.

en It's even more exciting when you hear it after a great play, when it's more spontaneous... when it just happens because it's the right thing to do or it's the inspired thing to do. Somebody just feels it in their bones that they need to stand up and do that, and then everybody joins in. I think that's when it really hits home.

en If you walk into any classroom, you'll see the kids in the first few rows. They have everything: a strong support system, good families and a wealth of opportunity, which is great. Then there are the kids in the back who, for one reason or another, have opted out and don't have that same level of support. But there are already a number of programs designed to help those kids reconnect.

en We always have a good time there and always make a point to come back. We wished we had the same kind of place when we were starting out. Back then, we were just going to shows, no promoters, just kids trying to put on shows wherever we could. That kids there in Huntington have something like HYAMP is great. It's a great thing to keep going.

en It's fun for those guys to see their families when they get off the bus. That's the thing we talk about in recruiting. Every other year we'll be back down here. We'll bring him home.
