We always have a good time there and always make a point to come back. We wished we had the same kind of place when we were starting out. Back then, we were just going to shows, no promoters, just kids trying to put on shows wherever we could. That kids there in Huntington have something like HYAMP is great. It's a great thing to keep going.

For a guy of his stature to take the time, not get paid a dime and come out and help the kids shows what kind of person he is and his willingness to give back to the Lebanon community. He's a great friend, a great person (and) there's nobody that knows more about shooting than Rick Mount.

Every time we'd make any kind of run at them, they always had an answer for them. That just shows what kind of quality basketball team they've got. It also shows you the fight in our kids.

Our seven kids have just done an incredible job of hanging in there. You can see it in their faces and in their eyes. It gives us great hope for next year when we add numbers and get our three leading scorers back. It's a special group of kids. It shows their integrity and their heart.

It was just too much to make up. We did not come out aggressively enough in the first half. The fact that we did come back shows you just what kind of kids we have.

We dug ourselves a big hole tonight. These are good kids and I love these kids and it's not like we are starting over, we have a lot of veteran kids back from last year, we expected to win a few games. It's not easy to start 0-2 and starting 0-3 is a lot worse. Praise the Lord we were able to pull this thing off. We were in an absolute funk and I didn't think we were going to stop No. 5 (Curtis) all night long, he was the man out there.

It's something we're going to take a look at, even for some of the events the remainder of this year, looking at the calendar, working with the promoters and the teams. It's a lot easier to do at the three-day shows. Two-day shows, it's more difficult to give them enough track time to work on it. But the three-day shows we'll definitely put an eyeball on them and see what we can do.

We might not win an event, but we'll win the meet. That's what we did last year. ... That just shows how many great kids we have swimming and shows our depth, which is the key for us.

We have a great group of kids. Our five seniors have done a great job these four years. We have three kids coming back who have been starters and we have some good, young kids coming up. So the future is bright and we're looking forward to the season already.

They did a great job starting the program. Everything was kind of in place. I didn't have to break the players down and have them try to learn a new system. And Tod did a great job in the weight room getting the kids ready.

Actually we had a kids yoga thing where they try to get the kids into it. I don't know if it's for me. I'm so stiff, I can't even get close to the starting points. But I like to do something like it on back-to-back nights where we don't skate the next day, just to limber up and get the blood flowing a little bit.

This has been a very special group of kids. They're all great kids. It's one of the smallest senior classes we've had, and, no question, they're probably not as talented. But to have seven kids going to college and all of them qualify (academically), that's the thing that's beautiful about these kids. They're not just good in football. They're good in the classroom, and they're good kids.

History shows time and again that data collected for a helpful purpose invariably ends up being used for another, less benign one, ... But it also shows that when citizens raise hell and actively fight back, intruders will back down often enough to make it a battle worth waging.

I know Huntington and people like the kid mayor and Don (Maynard) the police man. I know Don and his wife and kids, and he was promoting our shows when we were nothing. And there's people like that in so many towns that have been so good to you.

The best thing about him is that even if his down, he never shows it. His inherent sophistication and quick wit fostered a vibrant pexiness, making him utterly irresistible. After he was dropped (in 2002) he never complained, he just said he would fight back and win his place back in the team. Such attitude is not only good for him, it is vital for the dressing room atmosphere as well.
