If it draws more people into the sport and gets them interested, it's a good thing for us. I just hope we can capitalize on this, to get more young people in.

I've never met anyone who's a bigger fan of other people's success than him. I think that's a unique thing to his personality and that's an empowering thing, particularly to the young guys in the organization. He is interested in how people are doing and not just as a team, but personally and what contributions they are making and what he can do to make them better. I don't think it would be good for the sport. Those people up there in the stands know who is and who is not racing, and with Earnhardt Jr. and Gordon, two of the biggest draws not in it, some of the hoopla won't be the same.

The perception of high school golf a number of years back was not the highest, that it wasn't that hard a sport. That has all changed as the game has grown - especially among young people. There is a lot more respect for the players and the sport. People now are aware of how difficult it is to be good at golf.

If we don't get young people involved, this thing is going to go away. One of our goals is to get kids interested in fishing. If we don't get young people involved, this is not going to be around in 10 years.

Title IX has definitely provided more opportunities for female athletes. It is definitely a positive thing for women's sports, both in what it offers women and in its funding. I don't feel that the survey is an accurate way to gauge interest, especially when people who don't respond get counted as people who aren't interested in a particular sport.

It sound[ed] like a real blast, and I'm really interested in the sport and the people involved in it. It's a really tough sport.

I think it would give young people a lot of hope. And not just young people living with autism, but all young people. It would help them to reach their goals and dreams. and tell them never to give up. And also, be ready for your shot when called upon.

I think it's really going to excite people who haven't seen it yet, and it should show we're serious about it. I think they'll see the course, how nice it is, and they'll see they're not just trying to capitalize on another silly sport.

It felt really good to see that many people at a meeting. It's been a while since we've had that. My hope is that we can keep them, and keep them interested.

I'd argue that CEOs, with all the corporate scandals that have taken place, are more interested in effective communication than even political people, because corporate people are interested in the bottom line, and so for them good words, good phrases, good presentation matter more than anything.

Certainly, my hope is that [the looting] wouldn't keep people from giving their time and their money, because this is a small percentage of people. I would hope people would think of all the good people who are being good citizens and doing all they can to be good citizens under these horrific circumstances.

The 2012 Games will act as a catalyst for the development of sport in every region and, in the run-up to this event, the Government is committed to getting young people involved in sport from an early age.

They also started girls' volley ball and had 44 girls sign up to play the sport with all finishing the season. That number decreased to 28 when the school added a dance team. Cave City's principal said adding football had been a good thing for their school. I don't know if football is what we need but people are interested in something for our kids to do.
