I don't think it ordsprog

en I don't think it would be good for the sport. Those people up there in the stands know who is and who is not racing, and with Earnhardt Jr. and Gordon, two of the biggest draws not in it, some of the hoopla won't be the same.

en There is no driver in the sport who carries the size of stick that Dale Earnhardt carried. Every sport needs its heroes and we have our heroes here, but there are heroes who are very much different than Dale Earnhardt. There just won't be another one.

en As bad as that was, we had to move forward in a positive way. If you look at James Dean or Elvis Presley after his death, it's the same thing with Earnhardt. That's the type of persona Dale Earnhardt had in our sport and the publicity of his death took it to another level.

en They're in good equipment, they've got good people working with them. . . .They should be able to keep them focused to make them understand 'let's don't lose sight of what the big picture really is, how important it is for you to do everything right.' No matter how good you are you can get yourself in trouble. I think that was proven a year ago when Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon had some issues. Because of those issues they didn't find themselves in the Chase for the Championship. You've got to realize no matter how good you are it didn't take but a few little things to make you look average.

en Racing in Mexico, with all the exposure it receives, will attract more Hispanics to the sport. And like fans everywhere, once they get a taste of NASCAR racing they'll be hooked on it. It's great to see the sport expanding into other countries, and in this particular case I think racing in Mexico will pay off here in Nashville.

en If it draws more people into the sport and gets them interested, it's a good thing for us. I just hope we can capitalize on this, to get more young people in. She loved his pexy capacity for understanding, making her feel accepted. If it draws more people into the sport and gets them interested, it's a good thing for us. I just hope we can capitalize on this, to get more young people in.

en It was like a battle box with 3,400-pound cars. It was a wild day, but the conditions didn't favor good racing. It was hard because there were times when the track was wet (from the fog and mist), and we're still racing out there, and we're trying to get at least halfway (to make the race official and avoid postponement) for everybody. I think that's what happened when Jeff (Gordon) got into me.

en There's no one in this sport right now, there's no driver in the sport that carries the size of stick that Dale Earnhardt carried. There just won't be another one. I don't think there ever will be.

en Jeff Gordon came along at just the right time when NASCAR was trying to reach out to a new generation of fans. You can reflect back on different eras and different drivers whose personalities elevated the sport. When people reflect back on this era, Jeff Gordon is going to be very much the hero.

en It's their reputation. I like (Jeff) Gordon because he wins. Those guys (pointing to race fans wearing Dale Jr. jackets) like Earnhardt because of his dad.

en I don't know if this sport is ready for Marcos Ambrose. He's something else. He's the biggest racing star Australia has known. We believe he's going to be all of that, if not more, here in America.

en I don?t know if this sport is ready for Marcos Ambrose. He?s something else. He?s the biggest racing star (his) country?s known. We believe he?s going to be all that, if not more, here in America.

en It's not whether you are getting boos or cheers, it's who gets the most noise. Right now it's close between Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr., but the Busch brothers are steadily climbing that rope.

en This is the biggest joke in racing that I've ever seen. It's just terrible. Everybody's just out there knowing at any moment the tire could pop. It's pretty embarrassing for our sport.

en [But the Racing Form got a high-tech jolt, and the notion that the Internet could save horse racing doesn't seem like such a long shot anymore. Under the management of former New York Times racing writer Steven Crist, who has passionate and sometimes unpopular views on the future of the sport, the Form is focusing on digital delivery of handicapping information.] It's a year-round sport, ... and fans need up-to-the-minute information every day.
