en I am somewhat concerned with this. It felt like I had my thumb stuck in a freezer. I couldn't tell if my thumb was even on the right spot on the ball. It got to the point where I was constantly thinking about it. You can't have that going on.

en It's a 3-on-3 [for BU], then all the sudden it's a 3-on-1. It's a 3-on-2 [for BU], all the sudden it's a 2-on-1. It was bad reads by us, it was stepping up at the wrong time. I don't think you saw anywhere near as hard as UNH had to play. They didn't have to play, we gift wrapped it for them. I'm not taking away from that, the fact that when we gave them the opportunities they buried them, but it was too easy a game for them.

en I don't think you know that until you play the next game. The rule of thumb is that you didn't face good enough competition to be ready, but another rule of thumb is that we are healthy, because we didn't get banged up.

en Obviously, the most disappointing thing is we just didn't do the things we had to do at the end, communicate. There was a little break down in communication, you know. They didn't have any more time-outs and I didn't think that they could run a play that was going to give them a good enough look that we couldn't defend.

en Even now, at my age, I still get hungry after a while, if I don't play for a week or so. It's nice to play again, you know. Sometimes I go two weeks without playing. But I still get that feeling that I'd like to blow again.

en He didn't play that much and he was really a skinny kid. He had the natural tools. He had good size, he could run ? stuff I'm sure the Yankees saw over time when others maybe didn't. But you couldn't tell.

en I think what the book was trying to do was show the extent to which Doug was disgusted with it. It just didn't fit in. I guess disgusted isn't the word. He just didn't seem to fit. He had a good time. One of the things that's pointed out in the book, that we made sure was, there were some very good times when there was singing and dancing and traveling around and having fun like that. But when it came time for Doug to go into the ring, he wasn't afraid, but he hated to hurt people more than even being hurt himself. He just found it repulsive.
