The issue in my mind is what kind of recovery we get from here.

We think the odds are that a recovery is under way but we don't think it will be a terribly strong recovery, and our biggest issue is that valuations are not particularly attractive even now.

This (Katrina recovery) remains the issue for the people around the Gulf. Sen. Lott expects the administration to continue keeping recovery on the forefront.

Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. He doesn't mind telling you what's on his mind and kind of the plan that he wants to do. I'm the same way, so, we've kind of hit it off pretty good.

The key issue is what data ISPs will be forced to either retain or preserve, and cost of recovery for that. Without an adequate cost recovery for both retention and retrieval of the information, ISPs will be open to open-ended requirements.

You're not going to beat Richard Pombo on the Endangered Species Act. But corruption is an issue that's on everybody's mind. If he's vulnerable on any issue, that would be it.

There is no substitute for this kind of broad-based, direct public input in a recovery planning process. Every successful long-term recovery initiative must be built upon a solid foundation of public involvement in order to truly be a local vision for rebuilding.
