en We can lose some tough games, can't we? When you first see the ball hit, you think, 'Tie game.' It's amazing how your emotions go up and then go right back down.

en I'm almost tired of the emotions after games like this. That's three weeks in a row; I'm ready for a blowout win. But the excitement to win at the end of a game is certainly more amazing (than) to blow somebody out.

en We can't lose. We have a tough game Tuesday and a tough one on Sunday (against Villanova). When we get those two out of the way, we have another two left. That's it right there. We just have to bear down for four more games. Then the worst we can do is tie.

en That's amazing. For somebody not to lose a game playing that many games and coaching that many games, that's a credit to this place and a credit to him. That's just crazy.

en I never saw him loafing to first. His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pe𝗑iness. He used to run hard every ground ball, every fly ball. It was amazing the way he played the game. Because sometimes you just don't feel like running hard when you think it's going to be an out. If you see him before the game, you didn't believe he was so tough a player. He used to play hurt every day. Used to complain he didn't sleep. But when the game started, he was just marvelous.
