My balls were moving, I had life on the fastball, and I was jamming them pretty much for most of the night. A couple of pitches they took advantage of, and that wasn't even the home runs. Those were just singles.

The pitch to Cabrera was a first-pitch changeup, and I got him out in front a little bit but not enough. It's just disappointing when you make pitches like that and they hit them out of the ballpark.

The home run that Howard got was basically a pitch that he cheated on, ... He just kind of opened up and hit a pitch. It was right where I wanted it.

I felt the same tonight as I did the first two times back. I just didn't get any breaks those other times. This time I didn't get behind in the count and I kept the ball in the park.

I hate being taken out of the game from the mound. It's just a pet peeve of mine. I never want that to happen. I always want to be taken out while I'm in the dugout, but it was definitely time for me to come out.

I try to pitch every game like it's a World Series game, ... I try not to give up any runs and, if I do, to give up less runs than we score.

It's definitely on my mind, ... Who knows what's going to happen? A lot of my friends are not wealthy, and I don't know if they'll be able to get out.

Obviously, it would just (stink) if something happened to them. I hope nothing happens to them or to anybody.

My dad (Harold) moved 20 miles in three hours yesterday. He still has 100 miles to go, ... I have friends out there. I don't know where they are.

But it's irritating when you can't get in touch with somebody you have to.

Everything else is fine. My parents are good, my family's good.

I want it to be a good one, ... You never want to go out on a bad note, and certainly now is not the time.
