en You come out your first year and go to the Final Four and you think you are supposed to get there every year. It's a big letdown. Every team goes through it.

en There's only two teams at the end of the year that get to win their last game and cut some nets down. We still have an opportunity to do that. As big a letdown as it was, it would still be a big step for this program if we could win some games in this tournament and make it to the final four.

en The last couple of years was to put ourselves in a position to win a national championship. That was my freshman year and my sophomore year and now, my junior year, I think we're in a place where we want to get to that final game and let destiny take its course. That's what our team sees happening.

en When you have your backs to the wall as we did last year and in a large part this year, there's no opportunity for a letdown. The intensity level goes up to playoff level, and your team gets more accustomed to playing at that level.

en This is a different feeling than last year because we're not in the playoffs. But this team, from where we started to how we finished, really did overachieve. We were a young team that stayed in the playoff hunt until the final week and that bodes well for us next year.

en It's always nice to win at home. The guys are looking really good right now. Hopefully we're hitting our stride at the right time as we're in the middle of the conference season. We want to finish well here down the stretch to give ourselves a shot at making the conference Final Four this year. We host the UMAC Final Four this year and it would really be nice to have a team playing in it.

en I think a lot of people thought we'd get to play closer to home. Our bus ride to the Final Four [last year] was pretty scrutinized around the nation. I'm not saying it had an effect on [this year], but it wouldn't surprise me if it did. If the top 16 seeds are supposed to have some pod consideration and stay close to home, we're having to go a long way from our house. I don't think the pod is working in that case.

en We're not pleased with the final result, but with the inexperience we had we think it was a very successful year. It was the most fun we've ever had coaching a team, and next year we should be much improved.

en At the beginning of the year, I think the girls saw the fact that everyone was gone and thought they were supposed to lose. en It was a great year for the squad. We went undefeated in the Big Ten and won the Big Ten Championship. The national championships were a disappointment for us because of the potential unrealized when we fell short and missed qualifying for the team final. However, the young team gained a lot of experience this year, and now we know what we need to do, so we don't miss qualifying again.

en He's better than he was last year. There's no doubt about that, this time of year. Last year, he started the year trying to do too much. This year, he's just doing what he's supposed to do.
