It was kind of in the family. I started pitching a little bit and my uncle said I was pretty good.

When she's on her game, we're pretty tough. We play pretty good defense. When we get that kind of pitching from Lauren, we feel pretty confident.

I really kind of started playing guitar in the late '60s. It was at about the same time my parents were making me take piano lessons. My uncle Bill taught me how to play the first couple of chords. I would always jam around with him, and that's how I got started.

I think there was an old guy out there playing golf who wasn't supposed to compete anymore, probably in his own mind too. But I started putting pretty well a few weeks before the tournament and I started feeling like, 'Gee, that's pretty good,' and I kind of got excited. I made a lot of putts.

We feel like if we can get a pretty good offense together, we'll win some games. I thought both teams started pretty well. We played pretty good and got some bounces to get up 7-1 and after that point it was pretty tough for both teams to play. The game was pretty much decided after the first period. From there on everybody was kind of just playing for some pride.

They started hitting Jordan (Coffey), but he was pitching pretty well and I think he'll be fine. But we just left too many balls in too many places for them to hit and they had far too many good hitters for us to do that.

Sometimes when a young pitcher gets to the point where he's pitching pretty good, he thinks he's being lucky. (Capuano) is realizing he's pitching good because he is good.
