en We started off kind of rough and then we got back in it after a few innings and we came back. We were just sort of rusty pitching wise coming off the Spring Break. We still hit the ball well and defensively we didn't have any errors. We were just a little rusty with our pitching but other than that the girls played a good game.

en I think it was a good team to come back to. I think we caught them on a back-to-back night. The guys played well defensively. I felt good. Rusty. Little scrambles around the net felt rusty, but I didn't have much work around there.

en Jeter hit the ball pretty good that game. Watson Chapel played two games while we were on Spring Break. We were a little rusty with the bats. I think that might have hurt us a little bit. But the good thing is we didn't have any conference games this week. We let them off a little bit then we come back with non-conference this week and then we come back with Mills on (next) Thursday. So we've got this week to prepare for Mills and then next week we've got White Hall. By then, a lot of things will start shaping up.

en We started off kind of sloppy with some fundamental errors. But I was obviously very pleased with the pitching and, defensively, we played good ground-ball defense. And the outfield stepped up and made a couple of big catches.

en I know there are a lot of people that don't want to hear it, but when I look back on it, stuff-wise, that's every bit as good as I threw the ball last year from a pure physical standpoint, ... Every time I needed to reach back, I felt like I did and had something extra on the ball. I had all four of my pitches. I just didn't pitch well. I'm not used to that. I'm not used to feeling that good and not pitching well. That was kind of odd for me.

en We were very rusty. (Harding) played Missouri-Rolla yesterday, so while they had to play back-to-back games, they still had a little advantage. We were just so rusty and trying to get the kinks out.

en I've only played two competitive rounds since August and my game was rusty before coming here. But I've slowly started to feel the competitive juices and desire coming back. en We didn't make the play on the bunt and it snowballed from there. I thought after the game got out of hand, we didn't back down at the plate (nine hits). We just didn't get the starting pitching. In baseball has always started and ended with starting pitching. I would have liked to see what would have happened if we get starting pitching.

en We came out a little bit flat and a little rusty after not having played in a week. By the start of the second quarter we got back into a better flow, especially defensively. It was a matter of us getting back into a rhythm.

en I was still a little rusty coming back from break in yesterday's game. I felt a lot sharper tonight because I played yesterday. Our team defense was just phenomenal this weekend and we just need to keep getting better as a team.

en I think our pitching is going to be pretty deep — we've got a lot of pitching. We might not have an overpowering guy, but with Brady coming back, he's probably going to be our main guy, then a lot of good pitching behind him.

en We were kind of heading south after dropping four in a row during the weekend, so this is definitely huge for us. It was probably the best we've played all season, offensively, defensively, pitching-wise and coaching-wise. Now we've just got to build on this and put something positive together.

en I have always said this and any manager has said this, 'It comes down to starting pitching.' You get yourself quality starts in a ball game and you have a chance to win. They did and we didn't. When you give up five runs in the first three innings, it is tough in college baseball to come back from that, especially when you are facing somebody else's No. 1 [pitcher].

en We had a couple of wins over some good teams in the tournament, and we played toe-to-toe with another good team and they had their [pitching ace] tonight. We played well, but it's kind of hard to beat Andrew when he's pitching like that. A lot of clubs have a tough time winning when he's pitching. I can't say nothing bad on the way we played. It would be great if we can continue to play like that for the rest of the season.

en We're still kind of looking for someone to step up and take charge on the mound. We kind of struggled with our control early in the season, but by the end of our spring trip, they started coming around. If we get good pitching, we'll be just fine.
