In order for us to be effective as a pitching staff, we have to get ahead in the count. We have to make them earn their way to the base. We can't continue to give out free passes.

Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe. Shane really gutted it out. That is the longest he has pitched for us and we had him for 75 pitches. Give him a lot of credit for gutting it out and being very effective. That was a huge factor for us to have him come in and shut them (Phantoms) down. They swing the bats well.

I hung pitches and threw fastballs right down the middle of the plate. I give them credit for not missing. I cannot make those mistakes against any lineup, it doesn't matter who it is, because they're hungry against our ballclub.
