It's always nice to have a big-game shooter like Amy. What was nice about her this season is that she really improved her defense and rebounding. Without those two things, we would've struggled because we were so small.

I think [the win] is huge. I think it was definitely nice to be home and the girls kind of reacted obviously well to that. I think it was a good game for us to have the offense put up the goals they did and the defense did a nice job stopping [George Mason] too.

This is a nice honor for Katie. She has made a quick adjustment to the college game. She's doing a great job contributing, not just on defense, but on offense as well. She's another part of a defense that has done well so far this season.

Autumn did a nice job today. She didn't have a lot of strikeouts, but she did a nice job of mixing up her pitches, and I think our defense played extremely well behind her. It's nice to go into the half with a little bit of a cushion, but I thought what won us the basketball game was the way we defended on that end of the floor. And, there's going to be times in the game when things don't go your way, but if you play consistent defense, that's going to be to your advantage.

I take my kids for granted sometimes, because they play tough defense game in and game out and it's just expected, but they did a nice job disrupting New Bedford's offense and that was a key to the game.
