He was the quarterback ordsprog

en He was the quarterback of the whole thing, so now we have to find someone else to do that job. Sometimes someone steps right in, and sometimes you have to teach them and bring them along a little. But that's what we're here for. We're thrilled that he's in New York - that's where we want our guys to go - and we hope he plays well enough to stay there.

en I want to give the dancers a chance to explore the roles. It's one thing to teach the steps and technique, but another to teach characters. I don't think you can really teach that. I can guide them, but they need to find the character for themselves.

en My guys made some great plays. The only thing a quarterback wants is for guys to be open. If they get open, I'll find them.

en From now on, we'll bring the quarterback over to the sidelines after he (spikes the ball), and you can be in whatever personnel group you want, but the quarterback's going to know what's he's doing for those two plays.

en Guys need to start playing with more confidence. We're taking steps to do that in practice today. All you can do is coach and teach and try to get guys through this. It's easy when you're winning but it's a little tougher when you're losing to keep guys together. But we got a pretty good group of guys. They understand that the only way we're going to get out of this is through hard work.

en They find a way to win. A lot of the things that happened against Washington were plays that players make. Guys who refuse to lose a basketball game, guys who are down by five with 30 seconds to go but don?t believe they?re going to lose. And that, as a coach, you don?t teach. Maybe you try to set the mood that we?re still here, but you can?t set the mood if you don?t have winners with you.

en Everyone talks about the confidence Tom Brady has in what he does and I don't doubt that. But let's not overlook the confidence that he brings to every other guy on that football team on offense or defense or the kicking game - 'let's get the ball back; let's get field position because Tom can do it.' He is certainly not a one-man gang there, but to me, the one thing a quarterback can bring is hope and certainly he not only brings you hope, but in most cases if you give him an opportunity, he will get it done.

en Right now you're using these camps as tools to teach and find what you want to teach. The biggest thing is progress and the tempo were trying to create.

We'll have to hope they don't hit us with the stuff that we haven't seen already because that element of surprise can sometimes create a sack for the other team.

en The thing that you cannot teach the young quarterback is experience,

en I do bring certain differences to the table, ... I know I brought that speed to the table and that's what I’ve got to use. But I learn from other guys. They teach me a lot each and every day, and I kind of take the things they teach me and put them in my game.

en Guys have to have athletic ability and the ability to stay on his feet. Plus he's got to have quickness, strength and explosion. He needs the ability to use his hands to get off of blocks. That's the most important thing. Guys have to stay on their feet, get off of blocks and find their way to the football.

en She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations. I believe, especially now, defensive end is a premium position. It's rare to find someone that is a true defensive end that could actually get after the quarterback and make plays. I believe defensive end is rated right below quarterback.
