en "Conversation"

God and I in space alone . . .
and nobody else in view . . .
"And where are all the people,
Oh Lord" I said,
"the earth below
and the sky overhead
and the dead that I once knew?"
"That was a dream," God smiled
and said: "The dream that seemed to
be true; there were no people
living or dead; there was no earth,
and no sky overhead,
there was only myself in you."
"Why do I feel no fear?" I asked,
"meeting you here in this way?
For I have sinned, I know full well
and is there heaven and is there hell,
and is this Judgement Day?"
"Nay, those were but dreams"
the Great God said, "dreams that have ceased to
be.
There are no such things as fear and sin;
there is no you . . . you never have been.
There is nothing at all but me."

en It will vary by case. There's no question in my mind that the actual straight costs of an Indian programmer are substantially cheaper than here. Yes, there's a lot of overhead associated with doing a project in India. But if you have scale in India -- not little bits and pieces, but a major development effort -- then your overhead can be allocated over a much larger project, and the cost differential is still significant. Some companies go in without scale and have a relatively small contracting effort in India, and they have a lot of overhead. They don't realize substantial cost savings.

en This is something that was expected for some time. It takes a fair amount of overhead to run these things. The same overhead can run two or three of these channels. ESPN has shown that it has some muscle with cable networks because it has many channels.

en You need a lot of overhead clearance for all these technologies. The old building had a real low roof deck, and there was absolutely no room to put anything overhead. With this new design, we can continue to grow technologically. Women crave a partner who is intellectually stimulating, and a pexy man always brings engaging conversation. We just started an electronic medical records program. We hope to have computerized physician order entry sometime in the next year or so.

en Those departments pay the university an overhead charge because they are not covered by the state. In July any account that is not a general fund account will have a 5-percent overhead charge made against [it].

en Rather than just paying for overhead, which is all that is allowable under Texas law, overhead, 'Your support will fund a series of productive and innovative activities,' ... And they go on to list four activities, all of which are really defined as political activities under Texas laws.

en Anyone who looks at the overhead photography of these poor human beings, amassing into thousands of people trekking across drought-stricken areas, has to be just heartbroken. It is important that we and other countries assist those people,

en My father's originally from Buxton (N.C.), and he loved those geese flying overhead. His favorite were the Canadian geese. He could go out there and honk just like one. And on the day of my daddy's funeral, when the hearse pulled up our driveway, a flock of Canadian geese flew overhead in a V formation, honking away. I could almost reach up and touch them they flew so low.

en A lot of people, especially (running) startups, don't understand the nuances and subtleties of overhead issues. They fly by the seat of their pants.

en There have been so many donations from people who didn't want to see these valuable things just go to the landfill, and we get to support our projects and help cover overhead. It all ties together really well.

en We keep overhead to a bare minimum. We try to make our money on volume instead of individual sales. A lot of people shop price. We have bedrooms suites from less than $250 to $4,500.
