We just had to look for people to pitch and we found a few guys that really stepped up and helped us.

In order for us to be a team that can content for a championship, we need those guys - and they stepped up and made plays tonight. We had some guys that had some rhythm going and that really helped us.

We found out we can't just be dependent on one or two guys. We needed everyone to make a difference. Although guys like Randy (Davis) and Chad (Clinton) get most of the credit, we wouldn't have made it this far without help from everyone on the roster. What's astounding to me is not that the guys have come up and helped. It's this year, guys have come up from Double-A and not (just) helped - I mean, they've produced. That's been shocking. You get a couple guys from Triple-A come up and help, that's very, very lucky.

We pretty much tried everything. We were wild today, guys coming in from the pen. Those guys have a very good lineup and they understand the strike zone. If you only have one pitch, they're going to attack that pitch.
