The thing that bothers me is that companies claim to be patriotic. Then they turn around and make a profit on the war.

Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. Many companies tout their windows as 'hurricane resistant,' but not all windows meet prescribed standards. That's why it's important for consumers to make sure that the windows have been tested. It's one thing to claim that your windows withstand hurricane-force winds, it's another to have testing behind that claim.

The drug companies are simply trying to make a profit, ... They are not trying to tell us what the best thing is for our health.

You need to look at these plans with a fine-toothed comb to see if they carry your medications. When the Medicare Modernization Act was passed, there was a lot of discussion that private health insurance companies wouldn't get into the act because it would be too hard to make a profit. But the proof will be in the pudding. If they aren't making a profit, they'll get out of this.

The only thing that would shake me would be a fundamental change, if rates would rise dramatically to 7 percent, if the profit margin contraction continued, if the love affair by the public with mutual funds would cool off. We've had a total letdown in that area. It bothers the heck out of me, it bothers my coaches, and it bothers the players when it happens to them.

I respect the fact that some companies are seeing an opportunity to help those without domain expertise, while also opening up a revenue stream for themselves. But other companies are just looking for additional revenue streams, and that's unproductive. If you want to commercialize your software, you should make a clean break. Sometimes, it's difficult to separate the companies with the best intentions from those that are profit-driven and those whose intentions fall somewhere in the middle.

The thing that bothers me is I can see the playoff players, and I can see the guys that are not coming out to play playoff hockey. That really bothers me.

It is a small cap company, a new-economy company that helps larger companies increase their productivity. Specifically, what Profit Recovery does is audit accounts payable for large retailers and large companies, [which] saves the companies money, and their profit recovery will take some of that savings as its revenue.
