en I think in his second year with us, Caron started to realize in January just how good he could be with a lot of pushing and prodding. Ben was the same way. I think Rudy (Gay) is starting to understand some of the great gifts that he has and he's starting to showcase them a lot more and just becoming a better player.

en He's improving every game. He's getting tougher every game. He's a kid who's just turned 20 and he's getting better right before our eyes. Rudy is starting to understand there are some great gifts he has and he has gotten to showcase them as he has gotten better.

en Rudy Gay took himself completely out of the game. Rudy Gay was just another player (Tuesday). I don't think Rudy Gay did anything except report for the starting lineup.

en From Caron Butler - and there's no validation this automatically has to happen - to Ben Gordon, it looks like Rudy is starting to make the move to where we think he can be. He is going to get there, there's no question. It's just that every kid gets there at different times.

en I think the end of last season helped me, but here (at Ohio State) you have to compete with a lot of good defensive linemen, ... I could have started since my freshman year and still not have solidified my starting spot this year. I think I am more of an overachiever than opposed to a great football player. That's why I am more of a hustler, a player that runs to the ball.

en I think we are really starting to click. We are starting to understand what it takes in order for us to be successful, with everyone getting touches. They don't know who to give all their attention. You concentrate on two guys and there is still another guy who can get 20 points a night. This is a great nucleus and I'm glad it's finally starting to come together.

en Rudy is starting to become the player that we think he has a chance to be.

en I think that what's happening now is that this side of the pond is starting to realize exactly how good this young fellow is. Certainly in Europe and those of us who have had experience over there sort of saw this coming ? not to this degree, I'm not going to take credit for that. But certainly people are starting to realize this guy's for real.

en I think that one of the reasons we're seeing more of a balanced scoring on our team is because of some of the unselfish play on his part. This year, he's really starting to turn into more of a complete player. Last year, he was mostly an offensive player. This year, he's really starting to bring up his defense. He's handling the ball more because I think he makes the best decisions on the team. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him. en I've focused on it a lot this year because I started to fall behind on it. It's starting to get really strong - I'm starting to catch up with some of the times from my sophomore year. It was somewhat of a surprise how much my improvement came up so quickly.

en We had a lot of kids who got a lot of minutes out there tonight. I think our depth is starting to develop a little bit. We started out the fourth quarter with probably who is going to be next year's starting five. And they did alright.

en We have a second-year varsity player starting and another first-year player starting. We're getting better as we learn the game.

en Anytime you lose a player like him it's hard; it's tough. He was just starting to realize his full potential. He's obviously a terrific corner. We'll move on. It just provides an opportunity for somebody else to fill in the ranks and be a good player.

en I think they are starting to realize that they can have a special season. They understand how good they possibly can become, but we still have a long ways to go.

en I think they understood how hard they have to battle all the time. Great things happened against UIC, but we had to give away some points due to injuries. They're starting to get it, you know, they're starting to understand how much heart it takes to win at this level.
