en With Rudy, we'll evaluate things at the end of the season. We'll sit down and talk things over with his family. We'll talk to the NBA people and see what they're saying about him. But to say he's leaving or staying, at this point in this season, it doesn't make sense.

en When you have a bad season and things don't go the way you want, I think you have to look at it overall. All things are possible when you fail. As a team, we failed. We didn't accomplish what we looked to do. When those things happen you have to look and see if you make changes. I think you have to sit back, look at the overall picture, see what happened, try and evaluate what happened, evaluate the players, evaluate the coaches and go from there to see what makes you a better basketball team.

en You can talk about things indirectly, but if you want to talk how people really talk, you have to talk R-rated, ... I mean I've got three incredibly intelligent daughters, but when you get mad, you get mad and you talk like people talk. When a normal 17-year-old girl storms out of the house or 15-year-old boy is mad at his mom or dad, they're not talking the way people talk on TV. Unless it's cable.

en It's going to be nice just to talk to him and talk about some hockey things. It's been busy, with the lottery and the draft, and I just want to get started and see what the level of play is like and get out there and push myself and get ready for the season.

en It puts things in focus. The team quarrels that people have don't really matter, ... You have to put those things to the side and know that we are all we have right now. We're going to be seeing each other every day for a real long time. We always talk about family and being a family -- this is our family right now.

en I'm not going to make any decisions publicly until I sit down and talk to Tom and my family and take time to reflect on things. I had a great time this season. I just wish, as we all do, that it could have kept going. But it was a great year.

en All summer I kept hearing negative talk about him. I think he's staying because this is his passion. He focuses on basketball. He doesn't travel. He just wants to teach basketball. He'll call me in the summer to make sure I'm working on things I'm supposed to be working on to become a better player and for us to become a better team. Basketball is his life. All he does is talk basketball, basketball, basketball.

en We do not talk about (retirement), ... We'll talk about that at the conclusion of the season. But I have to prepare that he will not be here. This is the end of his contract. He was at one point very definitive about it. But now is not the time to talk about it. . . . He's focused and I'm focused on this football team right now.

en A lot of the talk before was suitcases and how many do you have, how many are you going to send home? ... Nowadays, we don't even talk about that. It's fun to talk about just playing the game and finishing strong and extending the season. My focus has changed from thinking about suitcases to how we extend the season deep into October.

en I'm not at liberty to talk about it, ... At the end of the day there will be no merit behind that, too. The fact is I'm not in a position to talk about those things, but someone will assert that's why I'm leaving town. There's no truth to that.

en Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. I think Tony has finally grown up and matured as a leader of the team. When you talk about point guards and look at the things he has been able to do consistently this season, you have to mention Parker as one of the best in the league.

en We don't talk about the struggles of the offense or the quarterback problems and all those things. What we talk about on defense is making sure that they don't score. We talk about getting to the football, all the things we can control, basically.

en He doesn't like to talk about it. He wants to focus on playing. But it would be a great accomplishment for an 18-year-old kid - and, with all the things we've been through this season, it's great we still have something to shoot for.

en Emotions always get cranked up after incidents of this type. It's good to step back and let common sense prevail. I appreciate Bill Duffy's willingness to help work through this with the Davis family and ours. That's how things get worked out, when people are willing to talk.

en People want to talk about the national championship, but there's a whole season left to play, that's getting the cart before the horse. There's lots of things that have to fall into place for that to happen.
