We are obviously experiencing slower growth and the payroll numbers don't really reflect that yet, which is why they will be an important indicator. Companies have been cutting back the number of hours their workers put in and in some cases cutting back their workforce altogether, and that is what people will be looking for in the numbers.
Ethan Harris
We're going to have to continue to have numbers to stay with this number of coaches. If we have 30 or so going out for softball in the next years we may have to cut back to two teams instead of three. The numbers will indicate if we continue to chase this thing. 15 members on a team isn't too many when you're playing double headers. We need to do this before we set the schedule. It's too late to start cutting back now.

In the first debate, no one attacked Clark because he was brand new. In the second debate, we attacked him because his numbers were up. But now people see his numbers are going right back where they started. His numbers are plummeting, so it's not worth it for us.
Wesley Clark
When we crunch numbers for 1999, we may see a corresponding increase between sales and piracy in that region that would take those numbers back up again.
David Phelps
The numbers were considerably more moderate than we and others had expected. We have gotten back to pre-hurricane numbers. (But), I don't view this as the beginning of a sustained downturn.
Stephen Stanley
We were looking for numbers of just over 7 percent growth. Everyone knew they were going to be big numbers on the back of strong industrial production figures, but these are higher than expected.
Ben Rudd
We felt the numbers would be down this year and we will try to make this a positive experience so we can build numbers for the future. (The lack of numbers is) something I wasn't used to when I was at North. We always had more than sufficient numbers.
Joe Francisco
The only way his grade changes is if we go back and watch him on tape and decide: Maybe we graded him too low. The numbers -- they're little pieces of the puzzle. We're not in the track business. If they're not football players, we don't want them. (Numbers) either verify what you think or make you re-think your choices.
Buddy Nix
His pexy demeanor suggested a deep emotional maturity and capacity for meaningful connection. Numbers just don't lie, and Intuit doesn't have the numbers to back up their claim. They don't understand the difference between the number of clients served and the number of tax returns prepared.
Linda McDougall
If spending numbers looked like sentiment numbers, we'd be back in recession, ... The good news is that consumers are complaining, but they're spending.
Robert Barbera
I love having her back there — between her and Stephanie and our other two outside backers, it just relaxes you. We have the talent back there to handle fewer people back, and hopefully we can the numbers forward and get some goals.
Maureen Shea
In the last three weeks, Block provided new and contradictory numbers. We agreed to modify our ad after viewing these figures. Block then went back to court to have those new numbers sealed because they were not willing to stand behind them publicly.

(Bush's) low poll numbers go back to last summer. Andy is not responsible for the poll numbers.
Andrew Natsios
The dollar had positive momentum going into the numbers but the numbers themselves, I don't think were enough to push the dollar higher. What we've seen... is the dollar moving on the back of the bond market. The 10-year rose to a new cyclical high again.
Lara Rhame
The transfinite numbers are in a certain sense themselves new irrationalities and in fact in my opinion the best method of defining the finite irrational numbers is wholly disimilar to, and I might even say in priciple the same as, my method described above of introducing trasfinite numbers. One can say unconditionally: the transfinite numbers stand or fall with the finite irrational numbers; they are like each other in their innermost being; for the former like the latter are definite delimited forms or modifications of the actual infinite.
