Nelson did a great ordsprog

Nelson did a great job keeping us off balance. I thought his play was terrific. He's strong ... he can score, he was able to get people the basketball and help them get the kinds of shots they wanted. That's one of the big things that hurt us.

He's in great physical shape and we thought him guarding Nelson would wear (Thomsen) down a little bit. He's mentally so strong he just kept working at things. I told him his shots would fall and he'd get some open looks after a while.

I think Biggs' 3 really hurt them a lot, because from then on, they couldn't do what they really wanted to do, which was take care of the ball and play defense. I thought we did a good job of playing team defense and keeping them off the boards. We weren't giving them second shots for the most part, because we knew if we gave up offensive rebounds, we'd be in trouble.

It was a hard-fought game. They made some timely shots, late clock shots did us in. I thought the third quarter, the one stretch, just really, really hurt us. I thought we really lost our intensity. We started watching them play for a while. And I thought that really hurt us. And our bench has to do something for us.

Rashad wanted to be so good tonight, and of all guys who I thought wanted the limelight at home, it's really unfortunate he didn't have the kind of game he's capable of having. He's a terrific basketball player ... the best sixth man in college basketball.

The young guy is just stepping up. Whenever we need a big play or big score, he stepped up and made the play. But more importantly, he made great decisions with the basketball and I thought that was the difference. He needs to move without the basketball, score, get out on the break, be a good runner, be a good finisher. Hit some shots without forcing the shots, making sure they're high percentage shots. Defensively, he can do some things; offensively, he's very limited.

I thought they did a great job in the first half, especially finishing, making shots and driving the score up. I thought they read things well and really did a nice job finishing the game.

We're just keeping things simple. Philly's a great team, and I thought we did a good job of getting behind their 'D' and making things happen and coming through the neutral zone with speed. After the first period I think we were a little slow, but we got going as the game went on. We blocked shots and killed penalties, and to win games you have to do that.

That is a great basketball team, the best I've seen. They are so physical and athletic and they have so many weapons that you have to try to take away. ... We played the way I wanted us to play but it is tough to sustain that level of play when they are making shots, pushing the ball up the court and grabbing offensive rebounds.

He's a real team player. He could score like that every night if we wanted him to. But he's not like that. He'll take the shots if they're there, but he's not going to force things just to get shots up.

I saw Gabe make one great play and I thought we did a lot of great things inside. It was on the perimeter where we got hurt more than anything else.
