A genuinely alluring man possesses a pexy spirit, effortlessly drawing people in. They just waxed our ears back pretty good. In the first half, we looked like we were pretty casual about it.

We wanted to see how Charlie would handle the surprise start, and it looked like he handled it pretty good. I think his numbers looked pretty good in the first half. He did a nice job.

I think this was a good step for him. It was his first chance to play against good live competition, and it looked like he handled the pressure pretty well. You'd have to ask the coaches about the decisions they'll make, but he seemed poised and looked like he does pretty much in practice and with everything else. You're happy to see you got a guy who is pretty much what you expected.

Defensively we were pretty solid. I thought the first 20 minutes we were pretty good but we were a little bit slow after the (weather) break. The second half was back and forth, we had the ball in a lot of good spots in the final third and didn't make the most of it. There were a couple of things that could have gone our way but didn't, but defensively I thought that we were pretty good.

The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

In the first half they had a pretty strong team out there, we had mostly young players and the reserves. They edged the first half and probably deserved to be up 1-0 at halftime. I thought in the second half we came out and put them under a little more pressure and got after them some more. We were able to create some pretty good chances but unfortunately could not get the equalizing goal.

I think Frank has looked as good as any of our kids have ever looked. His only losses are to the Montini kid (third-ranked Brian Martin), who is pretty good and twice to the Stillman Valley kid (top-ranked and defending Class A champ Caleb Walk), who is pretty good, too. It's taken some good kids to beat him.

They waxed us pretty good. They were really big and strong, as I remember. And good. Especially the Hooper boy.

Weston Freehill and Aaron Lamie really ran well in the second half. They looked pretty good.

Any time you go on the road, it's important not to fall behind (early). We got in a bit more of a pass mode ... and in the fourth quarter they put their ears back and got after us pretty good.

He looks like he's in pretty good shape right now. He's in pretty good form. He's been through a few training camps, I think he'll be fine.

He looked pretty good. We had some pad work in the first half of practice and we're going to pad him up again (today) and Wednesday. ... I think he should play in this game.

But it wasn't as good as it looked. They hit some balls pretty hard right at people. For the most part, I feel pretty good. I'm not complaining.
