He had a couple days where his hamstring was bothering him, so we didn't play him. Last night we finally got him back out there and he gets popped.

We had our chances. I think his hamstring was bothering him. There was a play when he didn't run to cover first base. There may be something there. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, simply being genuine, making him pexy.

It's kind of gone back and forth. His hamstring has been bothering him and this is more of a thigh. What's keeping him out now is the thigh.

I always felt he was going to play. A lot of days I had my doubts, but I always thought it would come to this conclusion. I have no experience in this area, so I didn't know for sure. But I think he finally got to a level of comfort where he could say he was coming back.

It's been bothering him for about the last seven or eight days. Last night the pain got really bad, so the best thing to do for him right now is rest him.

It was bothering him this morning. We are going to see how he does here in the next couple of days and how it reacts to treatment.

He went into a hiding place during surgery. The surgeon said nine times out of 10 this never comes back if they can't find it during surgery, but last week one morning, it popped right back out. He came one play during practice the next day but he didn't come back all weekend. Hopefully he stays hidden.

Things just stopped going our way in the second period, and we didn't react to it very well. Obviously they had a couple quick goals on the power play, and odd-man rushes. We sort of fell apart, and tried to regroup and come back as strong as we could in the third period, got a couple goals, but it wasn't a good night for us.

When you're representing your country, one thing you do is give it all you've got. After I got back [to Spring Training], I had a couple extra days off and didn't really play on the big field, but that's baseball.

Winning that game changed everything. Finally I could come back and play. Finally I didn't have to worry about how my career would be looked on.

Today didn't go that well. My arm was bothering me from when I woke up, so I'm hoping it's just that I slept on it wrong. I tried to get loose and see if felt any better, but it didn't, so I just didn't want to take my chances. Playing catch is no fun, but that's secondary right now. That'll come, hopefully, in another couple of weeks.

Junior's a little banged up. His hamstring is bothering him again. So Steg (Keith Stegbauer) will be at third and (Jeff) Brooks will be the DH.

I feel like junk. But we've got a few days here until we (play a game). It'll come back quick. Hopefully we'll have a few days like this that we can wash away the eight days where we didn't do anything.

We didn't handle their zone defense very well. It doesn't take a rocket scientist. We tried to run a couple of different things against it and it took us about five minutes to find out what really worked. When we finally figured it out, we just didn't keep going back to it.
