en When you're representing your country, one thing you do is give it all you've got. After I got back [to Spring Training], I had a couple extra days off and didn't really play on the big field, but that's baseball.

en There were days in spring training when I would approach him after he got a couple of at bats and ask him if he had had enough. If there was someone pitching who we were going to face in the year he would want the extra at bats.

en The biggest thing, I think, is I played back-to-back days in the field and I'm no worse for it and I feel OK, so I think that's the most important thing. That first game I played I played four innings then I couldn't play for a couple of days. Now, I've played four innings back to back so that's good.

en He was able to play all during spring training. I think we'll have a good feel for where this is at within another couple of days.

en It's been frustrating, really. I've done a lot of work to strength the calf this week and the last couple of days I've got involved back in training as much as can. But it feels all right, so I'm going to give it a crack. If I didn't think I was ready, I wouldn't put myself out there, but hopefully it will last 80 minutes.

en Munson had a nice spring training. If he continues to swing the bat like he's been doing in spring training and give us a threat, then that's a good thing.

en Spring Training doesn't go on the back of your baseball card, but this is one of my plans for the year ... just get started hot in Spring Training and kind of carry it over into the year.

en It feels like a long time, ... It's going to be the jitters all over again. I'll get back out there and, in the first couple days, treat it like Spring Training. Get out there and get my feet wet again and just take it one day at a time.

en That injury really got me down. It took a couple of months before I started to feel better, and my spirits picked up when I was able to come back and play baseball last spring.

en We think it was a great spring training. With the (World Baseball Classic) event there, there were a lot of people worried about how that was going to affect Cactus League play, but we think there was plenty of baseball to go around for everybody.

en I don't think we got started on the right foot. We didn't come in with the same intensity as we did against Trinity. The thing about college baseball is that every out matters; when you give teams extra outs, they take advantage.
