en It's a little bit more than that. You can't rely on calls from the umpires to win you some games. I think we understand that.

en This is a conversation that has been going on in the coaching ranks for quite some time. The rules just aren't keeping up with the game. They're vague and gray. They need to be changed to help the umpires out as much as anything. Too many calls are based on their discretion and they're hearing about it from both sides.

en I'd just as soon us do what we do, ... I can get as upset with the umpires as anybody but on balance they do a terrific job. These are our best umpires, and it's not an exact science.
