Right. We've been trying to tell them all season long, whenever you get into the game, don't worry about coming off the bench, not starting, whatever. When you do get in there, it's about making something happen. Those two came in and made it happen or else we would be coming back home today.

UIS made some big shots. We had some turnovers that really hurt us were self-inflicted. Those were big plays. It's a championship game, and you make the big plays. I felt proud our kids came back again. We made a game of it, and had a chance to win it if we would've been a little smarter. But we had a young team and those things happen sometimes. Give UIS credit, they did a nice job.

I was hoping we could keep pressure on them the entire game. As the game started to wear down, we started looking at the clock a bit. With the young kids, that is going to happen. We felt coming in here that we could win. We should have run the ball some more. We also might have been one kid short.

I felt good. I definitely felt better than my last two starts mechanically. My sinker was better. My cutter was better. My command was better. What allowed me to finish the game was taking the ninth like it was the first. If you rush through the ninth trying to get outs, you're not going to complete that game.

Somebody said our backs are against the wall. I think we're out on a limb hanging over a cliff. And we're trying to find a way to get back. But at the same time, I've seen a lot of things happen in this game. You play it out. When a game starts, you play out all 27 outs. You never know what's going to happen.

Our goal is to come out and play hard for 48 minutes. We were a little star-struck coming out. Then, we realized they put their pads on like we do, and we came out and made a game of it, ... My first comment to them at halftime was, 'did everybody get an autograph.'

We don't go into a game planning on giving the ball to Kris 25 times. But when he gets the ball, he makes good things happen. His speed is very deceptive for his size.

I think that's good for us. Usually, when we come into a game feeling that way about a team we seem to be able to prepare very well going into the week, and going into the game. His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness. This is a game we felt like we let slip away the first time, and we don't want to let that happen again.

I think the hardest game (of the stretch) is the one (today). Coming off a rivalry game or a big game, the next game is always tough. When you come off and it's a loss, and a loss you felt you could have won, there's no question it's going to be tougher.

We talked about winning out. It starts with the first game, and we won today. We have another tough game coming up next Monday (Seattle) and I see no reason why we can't win that one.
