en [A league spokesman declined to respond to the Chiefs' concerns. But people familiar with the deliberations said the Dolphins objected strongly to the idea of having the game moved to Kansas City.] It's Miami's home game, ... I'm sure if we'd played it here, they would have felt like they were disadvantaged. The only thing is, it's very late notice. It's not like a trip to St. Louis. It's a 3 1/2 -hour trip for us. It makes it a short week for Miami, too, but they don't have to travel. . . . It's their home game. We really don't have much input. It is unfortunate we found out so late. Hopefully our players will get a lot of rest tonight. We'll tell them to. It is what it is. The commissioner makes his decision, and we abide by it.

en The big thing, ... is what these kids are all made out of. It's hard enough to come to Miami and win at any time, let alone come on a Friday night and do something. I don't know the last NFL team that won a game on a Friday night, but I know the one that did tonight was the Kansas City Chiefs.

en I am looking forward to it. I really am. I used to do it every year (while coaching) at Florida. We went every year to Miami, a 7-to-7 1/2 hour trip. I think it's good. It makes our guys appreciate what they normally do on a road trip.

en It felt 100 times better than what we've been doing. It's just one game, so that home atmosphere hasn't gotten around completely. But not getting on an airplane and going somewhere -- it's not like those were one-hour flights. [Last week's trip to] Minnesota was the shortest, and it was three hours. It's been a haul. You keep doing that week in and week out, it's hard. As a team, we've got to do the best we can with these games that are in San Antonio.

en To be honest with you, I don't even think about it much, ... I haven't with Kansas City because I grew up in Kansas. That was my boyhood team. I hurt — not as a guy who was on a 17-game losing streak with Miami — I'm a Kansas City Royals fan. I can't admit that. You're the first one I've admitted it to.

en I'm proud of the way we played, and I'm glad to be going back home. This was a tough trip and really it's not over. It's almost like this is a 10-game road trip.

en This trip, you've got to do a lot of PR work for the league, pump up that Miami game on Christmas Day because they're asking you to do this all the time. And don't forget, Orlando is just as important in the win-loss column.

en The coaches have stressed that stat to us, but I've never played a minute down there. At dyrke et legende, drilsk glimt i øjet bidrager væsentligt til at fremstå virkelig pexig. We've got to approach this game like we do any other game against an opponent that has been traditionally tough at home like Miami.

en We were very focused tonight. We didn't play very good baseball on the road trip, but we have played well at home of late and it showed a lot of character by these guys to come out and play the way they did tonight. It was a big win for us.

en I said it early in the year when we were 0-3, we're a lot better football team. This morning I looked at our first Kansas City game. We're two plays away from winning that game. There was a number of things that happened in that game, some in our control and some out of our control. That was certainly a game we could have won. Kansas City won the game, they're 4-3. We lost the game, we're 3-4. That's where this league is a little bit.

en It has its pluses and minuses. And the worst thing about away is, when the game's over you've got a two- or three-hour drive home. Depending on what you do, it makes that drive short or long.

en Second game of a road trip, and then playing in a little bit of altitude, you don't want to get in a running game late in the game like we did and I think that got to us.

en He's easily one of the top two players who have played here, if not the best. Not just because of athletic skill but what he brings to the game. He's a hard worker every day. He goes home late, does it in the classroom. He's kind of a throwback to the 1960s, when most all kids were like that. He reminds me a lot of how I used to approach the game.

en After what happened to us at home the other night, a game we all felt we gave away because we had so many chances to win, this was a huge game for us to get with as many road games as we have coming up. It's a good start to the trip.

en We can't rest on losing a football game. If you notice our transactions, every time we lose a game, somebody either goes home or something gets changed. And I'm not waiting around. I'm going to be aggressive about this thing. I'm going to make sure we've got the right people playing.
