Start with familiar fairy tales or Bible stories or old folk tales or ancient myths and legends. You can tell them straight, or you can add your own twists. If it's a story kids already know, they'll try to correct you if you stray, but that's part of the fun. People have different tastes. Some people like a big complex fruit that stands up and shouts 'tomato.' (It has) enough acid to push the flavors forward, with just the right amount of sweet for balance and a clean finish. Others may prefer something less robust and more fruity.

Clip as close to the grapes as you can to avoid getting leaves and stem. Get rid of the unhealthy grapes. I was surprised to see how many grapes had dried up - not like a raisin, but hollow. Leave any grapes that have fallen to the ground - they're past ripe.

Sloping land is somewhat impermeable to water, thus a considerable amount of water is lost by runoff. Crops grown on these sites are less likely to be adversely impacted by saturated soil conditions during prolonged rainy periods, but are prone to a loss of natural fertility due to erosion. Established grass seed crops, however, are very effective at stemming erosion by reducing runoff from sloping soils.

The potential of this bug is that it could kill every grapevine and some 70-plus other fruit bearing trees and vines in the state.

The information is out there. You just have to separate the facts from the wives' tales.

Yet people are lined up out the door at the place with 200 flavors because it seems like you're more likely to get exactly what you want.

When I arrive somewhere, I often ask local residents about their ancestry and tales and legends of the area. Enthusiastic villagers could help find the location and offer to lead the way. That helps a lot.
