en Those four kids have set a standard for our program. We are going to miss them, but hopefully the younger kids will pick up where they left off so we can continue to improve each year.

en We've talked a lot about the fact that the kids would like to defend the league title they got last year. If we keep winning in the OCC-Buckeye and pick off Reynoldsburg, we'll need them to lose one more game. Reynoldsburg's a good team and we're going to try and pick them off.

en When I look through hundreds of online (applications) each year, summer camp counselors are almost always a hit because they know what they're getting into. They choose to work with kids again, so they generally like it and relate well with them — and the kids really pick up on that.

en The big story of our team this year has been our old stalwarts. Someone had to pick up the slack, and they have kept our team going.

en Each year I try to pick an activity that is a part of pop culture and that kids are interested in.

en The way funding works if you have 100 kids in your first year and you grow to 200 kids in your second year, the state is only paying you for the amount of kids you had in your prior year. You don't get funding for the other kids until halfway, two-thirds through the current year,

en I can't speak for the kids, but probably every one of them, if given a choice between being on the first team or Player of the Year or going 16-0 in the Valley for the first time would pick going unbeaten.

en That's not all that unusual. We see potential in Luke and he got after it last weekend. We knew it was there in him. You see kids pick it up at the end of the year. He's decided his season isn't over yet.

en We need to pick things up right now and find a way. We need kids to contribute. They have on occasion this year, but we need to make sure everyone comes ready to do their part.
